Awesome Games to Play With Fellow Passengers During Your Road Trip

Best charter bus companies

Long-distance travel can be grueling, but with the right amount of creativity, and a deep pocket of games to pull from, it can be a fun experience. If you’re about to embark on a road trip, whether by charter bus or car, here are some fun games you can play with friends and family while on your journey.

The Movie Game

This is for all the cinema buffs out there, who think they know everything there is to know about film. The object of the game is to connect actors with films that they’ve starred in. Gameplay works like this:

  • Someone starts by saying the name of an actor
  • The next person then has to say the name of a film that actor has starred in
  • The following person now has to state the name of a different actor who has played in that movie
  • Then someone has to state a movie that the new actor has been in, and so on until someone is unable to keep the chain going.

An example would go like “Jennifer Aniston,” then “The Break-Up,” and now “Vince Vaughn,” to “Wedding Crashers,” which could lead to “Owen Wilson,” so on and so forth until someone breaks the cycle.

Fortunately, Unfortunately

This game is great for the quick-witted and agile wordsmiths. The object of the game is to reverse the fortune of the previous statement. If someone messes up or isn’t quick enough, they get a strike. Like in life and baseball, three strikes and your out. Here’s how to play:

  • Someone starts by saying “Fortunately,” and then saying something good.
  • The next person has to say “Unfortunately,” and then saying something unfortunate about the previous statement.
  • Last person standing wins.

An example:

    1. “Fortunately, I filled the car up with gas before we left.”
    2. “Unfortunately, there’s a hole in the gas tank.”
    3. “Fortunately, I packed a roll of duct tape,” and so on.

These games can be a fun way to pass the time on your way to your family reunion, with your tour group, or general purpose road trip.

How you choose to travel can also make the trip more fun. Rather than having to drive yourself, consider using charter bus services. Nationwide, there are five times as many motorcoach terminals as airports, and 6 times less intercity rail terminals as there are bus terminals. So consider renting a bus for your travel needs.
