Chicago is Illinois' largest city population-wise. Sometimes called America's "Second City", its 552 parks attract an estimated 44.2 million people every year. Students can tour the city's beaches, museums, historic lagoons, bird and wildlife gardens, and world-class conservatories by taking a Cardinal bus. More to See in Muskegon...

From Chicago, the field trip can move on to Muskegon in Michigan which houses more than 30 parks and recreation areas. Several interesting festivals and activities are held in Muskegon annually. The Michigan Irish Music Festival held in September showcases Irish music and a pub crawl through downtown Muskegon's pubs. At Pere Merquette Park, the Muskegon Shoreline Spectacular takes place in September of each year. A charter bus can also take students to enjoy the many Parties in the Park from June to August. A World War II submarine called USS Silversides may also interest the students.

Excitement at Cedar Point

A visit to Cedar Point, an exciting amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, will liven up the field trip. Various thrilling rides like the Top Thrill Dragster, the world's 2nd largest and 2nd fastest rollercoaster. There are actually 17 coasters throughout the park. Cardinal's charter bus will bring students to Cedar Point's water-themed park called Soak City which has 17 water slides, a lazy river, giant wave pool, and kids' areas. The amusement park also has a campground for those who want to stay overnight.

Field Trips to Indiana's State Capitol

Students will also enjoy a special field trip in Indiana which may give them a chance to see Indiana's State Capitol made of Indiana limestone and white oak. This field trip to Indiana may also take students to South Bend's 75 local parks and facilities.
